Welcome to Science!
Please check out my pages for weekly lesson plans, curriculum guides, and class handouts and notes.
At Bon Lin Middle School, we like to catch students being good. We use a behavior program called PBIS. Students get a lynx loot if a teacher sees a child engaged in positive behavior. Students may use their loot to purchase treats and rewards..
Please check powerparent often. Grades as well as class conduct will be updated frequently.
Students will need their laptop and a folder or a three ring binder for class. Students must be prepared for class each day with paper, pencil, and class assignments.
Students will not be issued textbooks this year, instead we will have a set of textbooks in the science classroom. Students will have notes, vocabulary, and test reviews to study for quizzes and tests.

Tips to help your child in science:
- Make sure your child has a quiet place to study and complete their homework.
- Students need to get plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast and lunch. Good, healthy food is fuel for learning and brain power!
- If students say they have no homework in science, they can spend 10 to15 minutes each night studying vocabulary or going over notes.
- Check this website and powerparent often. Please ask me questions about your child's progress in science and let your child know you will be viewing science lesson plans and homework. Encourage your child to do their best and to never give up. Acknowledge positive behavior and reward your child for doing well and giving it their all. Positive support and encouragement go a long way!
